HOW TO USE CASTINGS

How to use your premium worm castings

Mixing with new soil:

Castings can be mixed with new or existing garden soil up to 20% for best results. This can be tilled into existing beds, or mixed with potting soil. The castings are an extremely compact group of living microbes and the goal is to spread them around near the root zone of your plants.

Top dressing:

For existing plants such as perennials or lawns, as well as throughout the growing season on established gardens. The castings can be spread on top and watered in. This is for applications where mixing into the root zone is not an option. Keeping the castings moist and watering them in will allow for the microbes to work their way down into the soil and get to the root zone which is where they are most effective.

Worm tea/foliar watering:

Mixing the castings in a watering can will also allow you to disperse the microbes into your soil. This will spread out the microbes over a larger area and can be done a handful at a time. This application is great for mid summer foliar watering onto the leaves and root zones of your garden, again allowing the microbes to benefit the plant and the soil by spreading microbes where they are most effective.

The goal of using worm castings is to allow for this highly condensed and potent compost to spread microbes around the root zones of your plants and create a strong root system which allows the plant to take up more nutrients and become healthier. There is no risk of burning, or damaging the plant from using worm castings as this is a natural organic product and does not have any chemical components.
